Q1 2024 Geolocation Games Analysis: Android Trends in Brazil

As the first quarter of 2024 winds down, Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the geolocation gaming landscape on Android in Brazil. Here are the insights on the top five contenders.

Pokémon GO maintained its popularity with an impressive number of weekly active users peaking at 4.49M in late February, although it faced a slight dip to 4.2M towards the end of March. The game's downloads showed a similar trend with a peak at 71K in the same period, and revenue reached a high of $65K in the third week of February.

Jurassic World Alive saw its weekly active users peak at 32K in late January, followed by a gradual decline to 20K by the end of March. Downloads spiked to 13K in the same peak week, and the revenue showed a modest peak of $1.5K in early February.

Niantic's newer title, Monster Hunter Now, had a steady base of weekly active users hovering around 35K, with a slight increase in mid-March to 35.4K. However, the game saw no downloads recorded until a sudden rise to 1.4K in the third week of March, and its revenue peaked at $1.2K in the same period.

Ingress Prime, despite being an older title, showed a modest revenue trend, peaking at $973 in mid-February. However, the game had a very low active user count, with numbers available only up to mid-January, dropping to 24 users.

Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games experienced its highest downloads at the start of the quarter with 30K, which then sharply declined to negligible numbers by late February. Weekly active users followed a downward trend from 33K at the beginning of January to 8K by the end of March, with revenue also decreasing to $103 in the last recorded week.
